Lib Dem MP Alan Beith has written to Jim Knight MP, Minister for Schools, to remind him that he promised to visit the Duchess's Community High School in Alnwick to see for himself the problems posed by the state of the school's buildings.
Mr Beith said
"It is now almost two months since I secured a debate on the state of school buildings in Northumberland, particularly the Duchess's High School in Alnwick. I have written to the Minister to remind him that he promised to visit and to see if he is able to set a date for this.
"The staff and students are doing the best they can in very difficult circumstances and I hope the Minister will keep his promise and help us to get the new buildings everyone so desperately wants."
