Beith battles on over GP budget cuts

Alan Beith has been inundated with letters, calls and emails from concerned constituents and health workers over Northumberland Care NHS Trust's proposed cuts to GP budgets.

Alan Beith said

"People are very concerned indeed that the excellent services they currently use are going to be cut. I have raised this with the Secretary of State in the House of Commons and have also met the Chairman of the Strategic Health Authority to talk about this situation.

"I am meeting the Chief Executive of the Northumberland Care Trust tomorrow.

"I will continue to work with all those inv0olved to make sure we retain and build on our greatly valued local GP services."
