North East Lib Dems head for Spring Conference

April 24, 2009 1:00 PM

Liberal Democrats from across the North East are heading to Gateshead tomorrow for their annual spring conference.

The conference will unveil a new and expanded website for North East Euro MP Fiona Hall and will focus on the upcoming European Elections, ahead of the Liberal Democrats' North East launch of their campaign on May 7th. Polling day for the European Elections is 4th June.

Newly elected President of the Liberal Democrats, Baroness Ros Scott, will be the guest speaker at the conference.

Said Fiona:

" Liberal Democrats in the North East have gone from strength to strength in the last five years. I've worked closely with councillor colleagues and we have had real success as a result of working as a team. We're delighted that the Party President, herself a former councillor and Euro candidate, is coming to Gateshead as a reflection of Liberal Democrat progress in the region."

If you are a resident of the Berwick-upon-Tweed constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
