Sir Alan Beith MP has welcomed the opportunity for Year 7 children to get a free Ordnance Survey map to help with their studies.
Sir Alan Beith has welcomed the return of Ordnance Survey's scheme to provide a free map to 11 year old children. Following on from the success of previous years' schemes, Ordnance Survey has invited schools to apply for the maps before the scheme closes at the end of November. Some schools should have already received their maps.
Sir Alan said
"I rely heavily on the Ordnance Survey maps for the Berwick upon Tweed constituency and learning to read a map is a valuable life skill. I hope schools and home educators will take part in the scheme, and that our youngsters will enjoy using the maps to learn more about our area.."
