Sir Alan Beith and the Liberal Democrats are holding an evening of light hearted toasts and delicious food to honour the life and poetry of Rabbie Burns at a Burns' Supper to be held in Alnwick on Saturday 16th January 2010.
As well as enjoying a three course dinner including haggis (vegetarian if preferred), tatties and bashed neeps and a choice of delicious sweets, there will be the usual speeches including Sir Alan Beith MP's Appreciation of the Immortal Memory. The evening will conclude with entertainment from Jim Smith, Liz 0 and The Fake Tartan Ceilidh Band and songs from Rothbury baritone, John Kirk and Vivace.
