Fiona Hall MEP Hall calls on EU Commission to rethink position on emission reduction target

Commenting on the European Commission's decision not to push forward immediately with a 30% reduction in greenhouse gases by 2020, North East Lib Dem MEP Fiona Hall said:

"This is disappointing for the North East and its emerging green economy.

"North East businesses are pushing to be at the cutting edge of new green technology. They need to know that the EU is serious about tackling climate change.

"For the sake of jobs and for tough action on global warming I hope the Commission will rethink their position as soon as possible."
