Beith's office flying the flag for World Cup!

Alan Beith's office flag is just one of many in Alnwick for the 2010 World Cup. Come on England!

Berwick's Liberal Democrat MP Sir Alan Beith and his team in Alnwick are flying the flag for the World Cup - literally! Sir Alan and his staff are lucky to have a flag pole on the front of the building, and are using it to show support for the World Cup squad in South Africa.

Sir Alan said

"There is a great show of support throughout Alnwick with England flags on display and we wanted to add our support as well."

The flagpole is used regularly throughout the year to fly the Union Flag on a variety of dates such as Remembrance Day and for the Battle of Britain Parade, as well as flying the European flag on Europe Day.
